The PEER4INCLUSION project team is made up of  entities from different European countries that help create synergies between different realities: Spain, Türkiye and Sweden.

MOVIENDOTE ASSOCIATION leads this initiative. We are a non-profit association from Getxo, working on adult education, and promoting volunteering actions, training courses, labour guidance and awareness raising activities with the objective of offering inclusion and active citizenship opportunities. Governorship of Istanbul (İstanbul Valiliği-GOI) is the highest administrative authority in the city with a number of approximately 300 civil servants and giving service in various fields. Governorship of Istanbul is represented by “EU and Foreign Relations Office” in the projects. As a principle, priority is given to projects addressing disadvantaged groups such as the unemployed (young) or people with migrant backgrounds or physical/mental disabilities. GOI has cooperation protocols with universities and NGOs in Istanbul.

Folkuniversitetet first emerged as a national organization in 1942, but its origins can be traced back to 1917. Folkuniversitetet was established as a state-supported organisation within adult education, an open university in the true sense of the word. Folkuniversitetet consists of five legally independent trusts (regional offices) with a total of over forty local branches throughout Sweden. The national office is located in Stockholm. Every year, Folkuniversitetet welcomes over 140,000 students to a variety of lectures, short courses or full-time study programs with aduration of six months to two years.
