The Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) has approved the Peer4Inclusion: Training Toolkit for boosting humanitarian migrants, migrants and refugees inclusion through PeerMentoring project, within the framework of the Erasmus+ 2022 Call.
This initiative is led by 3 European organizations, specialists in working with migrants and refugees, as well as in adult education. The project is coordinated by the Asociación Moviéndote (Spain), and both the Governorship of Istanbul – İstanbul Valiliği (Türkiye) and Folkuniversitetet (Sweden) play a key role.
Throughout the next 20 months, Peer4Inclusion will work in direct contact with groups of migrants and refugees, NGOs, public and private entities that work for the integration of these people. The objective is to design tools that allow the implementation of Peer Mentoring models as a strategy to promote inclusion in host societies.
Peer Mentoring is a methodology that has already been successfully tested locally by the entities involved in the project, which is why it is intended to deepen the creation of resources, generate synergies and promote its use with a particularly vulnerable group.
